Tiny, set-menu, properly special. Reserve well ahead.

A 1932 gelato parlour that hasn't changed, in the best way.
On the sand
Viking Bay
The main beach — 10 minutes down on foot, with the tidal pool.
Stone Bay
Quieter, a little further along the cliff. Good for a morning swim.
Botany Bay
Chalk stacks and rock pools, 20 minutes along the coast path.
Out & about
Viking Coastal Trail
Cliff path to Ramsgate one way, Margate the other.
Margate
Eight minutes by train — the Turner Contemporary and the old town.
The Loop bus
Runs the coast if legs (or weather) aren't playing ball.
